Award WPX

  Il WPX riconosce i risultati dei QSO confermati con tutte le stazioni radioamatoriali che usano prefissi diversi in tutto il mondo. Diplomi differenti sono disponibili per collegamenti avvenuti tutti in 2 x SSB, CW o Misto. Un diploma a parte, il VPX, è disponibile per gli SWL. 

Le richieste di diploma e dei relativi endorsement vanno fatte solamente utilizzando i moduli ufficiali che sono disponibili, dietro invio di una busta preindirizzata e preaffrancata, presso l'Award Manager  N8BJQ

Prefissi:
- La combinazione alfabetica/numerica delle 2 o 3 lettere che formano la prima parte del nominativo di un radioamatore saranno considerati il prefisso.
- Qualsiasi cambiamento nella parte alfabetica/numerica costituirà un nuovo prefisso.
- Ogni prefisso sarà considerato valido se il suo uso sarà stato autorizzato dalle competenti autorità a far data dal 15 novembre 1945.
- Un suffisso può indicare una operazione portatile in un altro paese o call-area e vale unicamente se è normalmente usato in quest'ultima. (Esempio : K4IIF/KP4 conterà come KP4, KP4XX/7 non sarà considerato valido in quanto KP7 non è un suffisso autorizzato. Anche i suffissi del tipo /MM, /M, /A, /P, /AM non sono validi.
- Tutti i nominativi senza numero saranno considerati come se fossero seguiti da uno zero dopo le prime due lettere. (Esempio RAEM come RA0, UPOL come UP0). Tutti i suffissi portatili senza numero saranno considerati alla stessa maniera come se avessero uno 0 (Esempio W4BPD/LX sarà considerato W4BPD/LX0).

CQ announces expansion of WPX Award Program
Digital Modes Added Along with New Bands.

CQ magazine and WPX Awards Manager Steve Bolia, N8BJQ, have announced several changes to the WPX Award program in response to feedback from program participants. The changes, effective immediately, add new bands and create a new Digital WPX Award.

Under the new rules, contacts on all bands between 160 and 6 meters will count for WPX award credit. In addition, new band endorsements will now be available for 5 MHz, 10 MHz, 18 MHz, 24 MHz and 50 MHz contacts.

A separate Digital WPX Award has also been added for contacts made on RTTY, PSK and other keyboard modes, with 300 confirmed prefixes required for the basic level of the award. Digital-mode contacts will also count toward the existing Mixed award, as will those prefixes worked on the newly added bands.
